Happy Navratri 2026: Day 1 – Maa Shailputri | A Celebration of Strength and New Beginnings

Published by Siddhi Patel | 11 October 2026

Welcoming Navratri with the Blessings of Maa Shailputri

Navratri is a sacred celebration of devotion, positivity and the victory of good over evil. As we welcome the first day of Navratri on Sunday, 11 October 2026, we offer our prayers to Maa Shailputri, the first form of Goddess Durga worshipped during these nine auspicious days.

Maa Shailputri symbolizes strength, stability, determination and the power of new beginnings. Her blessings remind us of the importance of remaining grounded in our values while moving forward with faith and confidence.

The Significance of Maa Shailputri

Maa Shailputri is traditionally depicted riding a bull and holding a trident and a lotus. These sacred symbols represent strength, purity, determination and spiritual growth.

The first day of Navratri encourages us to establish a strong foundation for the goals we wish to achieve. It is an opportunity to renew our commitment to personal growth, embrace positivity and welcome new possibilities.

Every Successful Journey Begins with a Strong Foundation

This Navratri, let us celebrate the strength to overcome obstacles, the patience to keep moving forward and the faith to embrace new beginnings.
